The Downtown Development Authority is told the construction at the old Chateau Suite Hotel, 201 Lake Street, will soon be coming to an end. It is scheduled to re-open in early-to-mid June (if not a little earlier) as a Holiday Inn Express.
The HIExpress signage will be installed about a month before the official opening. The new hotel will have 65 King rooms and 61 Double Queens- 42 of the units will be suites. It will offer small banquet facility for up to 60 people and can host catered events, but will not have a restaurant on site. The Holiday Inn across the street does have full restaurant service. Both properties are currently managed by Kalthia Group Hotels.
